Dear Parents,

Happy New Year!  We have created a schedule for the spring testing, which will include PARCC for all students.  Students in fifth grade will also participate in MCAS.  We are sending the schedule out well in advance, so families can plan accordingly and help us to achieve excellent attendance for testing.  This year there is only one testing window, which is a change from the two testing windows in past years.

May 9     Practice Test

May 10   PARCC ELA Unit 1

May 11   PARCC ELA Unit 2

May 12   PARCC ELA Unit 3

May 16   PARCC Math Unit 1

May 17   PARCC Math Unit 2

May 18   PARCC Math Unit 3

May 19   PARCC Math Unit 4 (Grade 4 and 5 only)

May 20   MCAS Science and Technology (Grade 5 only)

May 23   MCAS Science and Technology (Grade 5 only)

Congratulations to our Do Right students of the week....Sarah Alford and Brianna Giunta.

Dear Families,

On Monday January 11th the Fowler Cafeteria will begin offering healthy snack options during the lunch periods.  We have established a few guidelines to go along with the opening of our smart snack program. Students will not be allowed to make purchases until 15 minutes after the beginning of lunch in order for them to finish their meal.  We will offer healthy “A-list” approved snacks on a cash-only basis.  Detailed Information on the “A-list” can be found at:  There will be a limit of 1 healthy snack per day, per student, and a student may not make a purchase for another student. We will schedule one homeroom per day (Monday-Friday) in the 4th and 5th grades.  The 6th and 7th grades will have access on Thursdays.

Healthy Smart Snack Selections will be available for purchase for $1.00:

Scooby Doo Baked Graham Crackers

W.G. Jungle Crackers

3 varieties of Baked Lay’s Potato Chips (BBQ, Sour Cream, Original)
