Dear Parents,

As Fowler works toward cultural proficiency in our school, the students and staff celebrated Cultural Awareness Week.  As part of the celebration, different signs, posters, and flags were hung in the hallways recognizing various countries, their cultures, languages, and historic citizens.  Special highlights throughout the week included a culturally diverse cafeteria menu, activities/games in P.E. class, daily announcements made in different languages each day, and a selection of music from around the world.

On Friday we invite you to wear the colors of your country!

Fowler 7th grade students visited the Green Meadow 3rd grade Immersion class to make friendships and read books.

Parents of Seventh Grade Band/Chorus Students:
We have very exciting news for you -- Our 2017 trip to Disney was approved by the administration!  This is one of the most amazing things your child will do while in high school. We will be working extremely hard as a team of musicians to prepare an audition DVD in order to perform in Walt Disney World and to be ready for the incredible workshops the students will be singing and playing in, led by professional Disney musicians!

There is a mandatory informational meeting for parents/guardians and students grades 7-11 on TuesdayMarch 15th at 6:30 in the HS Auditorium. We will go over a lot of information and start setting up student accounts, talking about fundraising to help families, and meet the trip committee, etc.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Mrs. Blanchard and the 2017 Disney Trip Committee

Have a good weekend.

Mr. Mela
