Dear Parents,

Over the past few days, we have engaged in productive and informative meetings and conversations with families.  We believe that a strong partnership with home is critical to the success of our students.  Please don't hesitate to keep us informed with questions, concerns, or ideas for improvement.  We welcome consistent communication with families as a way to best support the needs of our students.  Thank you to all the parents and teachers for making all of our busy schedules work together.

In November, we will be providing some unique opportunities for parents to observe some of our new course offerings during the school day.  More information will come soon.

Picture Re-Take Day is November 24.

Basic Rights in Special Education: A Workshop for Parents and Professionals

To help you learn how to be an effective partner with your child's school when evaluating your child's eligibility for Special Education, and for guidance on how to plan, make decisions, and monitor your child's progress, the Acton-Boxborough, Maynard, and Sudbury SEPACs, in collaboration with the Federation for Children with Special Needs, present the Basic Rights in Special Education Workshop.

Navigating the paperwork and meetings involved with having a child in Special Education can be confusing. Knowing your rights is the best way to ensure your child receives the best placement possible. Please join us for this special workshop on Monday, November 2nd from 7-9 pm at the RJ Grey Junior High Library, 16 Charter Road, Acton. Contact with any questions. Free and open to the public.

Have a good weekend.

Mr. Mela
